Annie Bantner

Annie is joining the Burke Center for Ecosystem Research for the first time this summer as a Water Resource Specialist. She recently graduated from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and minors in sustainability and philosophy. She played Division I soccer with the university and spends her spare time running, having recently run a half-marathon. At the Burke Center, Annie hopes to gain experience and proficiency in many different field work techniques as well as gain valuable skills in how to communicate her research to the general public. With her degree and prior work experience mostly focusing on human and cellular biology in the lab, she hopes to use this internship to expand her knowledge and experience in the field.
