Elyse Meier

Water Resource Specialist

Elyse graduated from Northland College in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in both wildlife ecology and biology. She then went on to earn a master’s in biology from Purdue University in 2024. She spends a lot of time outdoors with her dogs, especially hiking with her dogs. She also likes caring for house plants. Elyse has worked closely with the Burke Center’s affiliated researcher Dr. Erik Olson, including a white-tailed deer population study at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan. She looks forward to gaining valuable field experience in new research areas and to work with a team that’s committed to what they do.
